Since 2018, Shane’s Texas Pit has brought central Texas barbecue to Hampton, NH.

It’s just getting better and better. We’ve got meat by the 1/4, 1/2 or full pound: House brisket, smoked BBQ and dry rubbed, bone-in spare ribs by the 1/2 rack or full rack, boneless pork spare ribs, smoked turkey and smoked sausages. You can also get all that served as sandwiches on brioche rolls with homemade pickles on the side!

Speaking of sides: Let’s hear it for potato salad, cole slaw, creamed corn, baked beans and corn bread. Mmmmm Mmmmmm.

And all that protein is making us thirsty!

Don’t worry: There are 16 taps on draft (including Texas favorite Shiner Bock along with New England traditional craft beer) as well as specialty cocktails and a full bar. For entertainment to go with your meal, how about live country music and big screen TVs! Yes!

But wait– there’s more! Ever had breakfast at a barbecue joint? From breakfast tacos to the Lonestar Melt, we’ve got you covered!

BBQ Reviews

  • This was the most amazing barbecue joint I have been to since moving out of the south. Most northern bbq is dry and tasteless, but not Shane’s! They had 4 different bbq and all of them were great! The downeast bbq sauce was the real show stopper for me with a nice sweet and kinda tangy taste. The smoked turkey was basically melt in your mouth good, the brisket was fall apart tender, and the pork was so good too. Also don’t sleep on the tacos! They have $3 and $5 options and they are so good. My favorite were the Al Pastor and the Asada. Definitely stop into Shane’s if you’re ever in the area, because you don’t want to miss out on this amazing food!

  • Food’s amazing (especially the brisket, it has fat stripes, but that’s what makes the meat very tender and tasteful), the service is also great and the ambiance on Tuesday night’s musical bingo (which is also taco night) is a great addition. They also have a great selection of draft beers, including local’s. From what I’ve seen, I am pretty sure every night is a blast!

  • We tried the new BBQ place in Hampton tonight and it gets a big thumbs up!! The atmosphere is great nice wide open lots of wood comfortable varied seating options as well as a bar and big TVs. We shared the special southwest salad to start and it was fresh light and delicious with corn black beans and lime dressing. Then we had the brisket sandwich with a side of Mac n cheese and a 1/4 lb turkey with side of Mac n cheese. $11 and $9 respectively for a lot of food. Both the brisket and turkey were cooked very well. Tasty not fatty. Moist not dry. The Mac n cheese was light with just enough cheese and some brisket in it. Our other friend had a platter which came with two types of meats the brisket and pork and two sides the Mac n cheese and creamed corn. He loved it. Also there was acoustic guitar music tonight. Which was a great touch. All in all I would highly recommend Shane’s for a good meal reasonably priced in a fun atmosphere.

  • Best BBQ you’ll find on the Seacoast! My husband went to college in Dallas and LOVES BBQ. Thank you Shane’s for satisfying his cravings. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and helped us get everything we wanted in the most economical way. Everyone was friendly. And notably the restaurant did not reek of smoke the way many BBQ places do. Overall a great meal. We’ll be back.

  • Been to Texas a zillion times pecan lodge etc. This is the same! I have eaten here many times and done a lot of takeout for parties. I love the ribs, Brisket, Steak Tacos, The spicy beans, collard greens, and mac and cheese. The cornbread is delicious too!

  • Absolutely amazing!!! Our waitress was really nice too. But the food was definitely on point!! The 4 barbecue sauces they have are really good too. We were able to try each one with our meals. Highly recommend this place. They had a really talented girl singing and playing the acoustic guitar also. I’ll definitely be going back.
